Pilot Beach Resort Reviews - Have You Stayed At Pilot Beach Resort?

My Daughter and myself had a lovely holiday in Pilot Beach. We had a bungalow on the beach with a beautiful view. The hotel, food and staff were all excellent, they couldn't do enough for you.

Would definitely stay there again.

An excellent holiday in every way.

We love this part of Crete so much and holidayed on the island over 30 years, but only twice have we stayed in hotels. Because of a large family we have usually self catered.

Now older and perhaps wiser, we enjoy being thoroughly spoiled in the luxury of Pilot Beach and have booked to come back with friends in May this year.

Had a wonderful week at the Pilot Beach in April last year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The service was fantastic as were the meals. It wasn't too busy at that time of year which was a real bonus and ... the weather was pretty kind to us too.

We hired a car for a few days which enabled us to see more of this beautiful island. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from Georgioupolis which is a lovely little village.

The staff here are very friendly and very helpful and provided the best service.

So all in all we had a fab holiday and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Excellent and restful holiday. Staff very friendly and attentive. Food in all restaurants was first class in taste and presentation. Ariadni's would benefit from a member of staff being on hand to explain the Greek starters (it was our first time in Greece). They were great once we got to know our way around the table. Self service breakfasts were excellent also with a large selection to choose from and views from the terrace were stunning. The pianist in the pool complex bar made for a relaxing evening and we especially enjoyed the Greek dancing night. I arrived with a golfing strain injury but after a series of treatments at the Spa I went home a new man. My partner and I arrived late and were shown to our beach view room which had a welcome tray of fruit and wine. The room was extremely clean and gave us a super view of the sea when we awakened after our nights sleep. An unfortunate problem we had, being non smokers, was that a smoker was in the next room and used his balcony quite frequently with smoke drifting into ours including the room if we kept doors open. This spoiled us from using the balcony as much as would have liked. On leaving I mentioned this and suggested that certain blocks could be made non smoking. All in all we had a great holiday and would recommend it to all alike. Iris and I have booked again for April 2016

Very good hotel, rooms very clean, grounds well kept. The food was plentiful and varied.

A really great hotel with excellent staff. Food was very good, pools lovely and the apartment style bungalow was fab. We were a family of grandparents , parents and two children who loved the playroom /holiday crèche . We could not get them out of there! Great for us also.

Although we booked half board there was a children's corner for the kids to have lunch and drinks through out the day.

The nearby town was small, but easy to walk to. The beach on the doorstep of the hotel was pleasant enough.

We would definitely go to the Pilot beach hotel in the future.

Really enjoyed the setting and views from our room. Staff very helpful and was a range of restaurants to chose were you ate your meals. Good variety of food on offer. Public transport very convenient if you do not have your own car.

My husband and I visited Pilot Beach on a special deal in May 2013 and were so impressed that we went back in May 2015 with our daughter, her husband and our two granddaughters (2 and 4yrs) The hotel has very good facilities for young children - a children's pool with slides and fountains, and child friendly shallow area in another pool. Indoor and outdoor play areas with animators to keep them happy in all weathers. Evening entertainment was also child friendly and kept them amused until bedtime. Children can also eat from a special children's restaurant at any time of the day serving pizza and pasta dishes as well as ice cream. The beach is also good for young children as the sand is beautifully soft and easy access in to the sea.

This was the best holiday ever, great location, lovely clean rooms and all areas excellent. All our needs were catered for without a quibble. The staff were very accommodating, and so friendly. My children want to go every year and we would highly reccomend this hotel and flying into the nearby airport of Chania was an excellent choice, with short transfer time.

It took less than a hour to reach the hotel from Chania airport which I chose instead of Heraklon airport after reading a review on Tripadvisor. The hotel was excellent with 4 different restaurant all serving great food to suit all tastes. All staff were very friendly and helpful and any minor problems were sorted quickly without fuss. Top marks to them. We only tried 2 of the 4 outdoor pools one of which we had to ourselves some of the time which may have been due to it being the second week of September. There was entertainment every night which although not West End quality was enjoyable. The small village of Georgiouplis is only a 1 Km walk away. Yes it is a family resort but the childern were was less noisy than the people who go to another part of the island. All in I would not hesitate to recommend.

Room Tip: For a beach view chose a room under the underpass from the main complex.

Good resort, Hotel site split in two halfs. One with beach the other with swimming pools and entertainment. Enjoyed the train ride to the lake. We went in Spring, lovely walk to the village flowers beautiful.

I had hurt my back only a couple of days before we arrived and unfortunately it worsened and I could hardly walk . The staff were amazing we only had to ring reception and they sent me a car to the restaurant and the maitre at the restaurant also rang for a car to collect me . Once I was so bad I sent my husband to fetch me something from the buffet and the maitre sent a waiter to our room with a tray of food.the food was amazing and the kindness we experienced will remember forever. I would love to return and enjoy the amazing pools and location I couldn't appreciate before.

A lovely family holiday, it was exactly what we needed. Excellent facilities throughout and although we went during a quiet period, everything was available and open for use. The food in the restaurants were first class and the free meals in the children's restaurant during the day were just perfect for our son meaning we didn't have to pay out for stuff he might not eat.

The rooms were more than adequate - clean, spacious and with everything we might need including a fridge. The pools were great, the kids area especially pleased our son, and the sea water was clean and clear. The little hotel train was also a highlight for the kids and although the nightly Cabaret was a little amateurish at times it was a lot of fun, especially the magician. The only real downsides from our trip was the fact the local town Georgioupolis was a bit of a building site and there is nothing much around out side the hotel. Still, if you are a small family there is no need to venture far away, simply hang by the pool and enjoy the facilities on offer. Oh, and did I mention we are going back this year!
